Year-End CPE 2022

By November 29, 2022News

Using external certificate processing options, announcements, and notifications

It is that time of year again where CPE Compliance teams are tasked with monitoring and reporting firmwide CPE compliance status to leadership.  Accurate reports are dependent on timely submissions of external CPE certificates.  To assist firms in processing external certificates, firms can customize how they choose to accept external CPE certificates in one of three ways.

  1. CPE administrator enters and uploads external certificates manually for each professional as they are submitted
  2. Firm requires individual professionals to enter their own external CPE credits and upload certificates which are immediately applied to their requirements
  3. Firm requires individual professionals to enter their own external CPE credits and upload certificates which are held in a queue for a CPE Compliance reviewer to approve before applying to their requirements

The settings can be set for each of these 3 options by administrators in LCvista in Organization > Settings > Approval:

LCvista’s Compliance Solution allows clients to create customized announcements and notifications.  Announcements are general messages displayed on each user’s Dashboard each time they access the system.  Notifications are email messages that can be delivered to specific groups of users on preselected dates.  The email format makes it easy to provide users with guidance and links to firm policies and processes.   Announcements can be created in Organization > Settings > Dashboard and Notifications can be created in Organization > Notifications.

There is a blog on our website you may find helpful titled Managing the CPE Compliance Risk Puzzle – LCvista  which summarizes how individualized CPE requirements can be for professionals who must meet multiple CPE requirements and deadlines.
