On behalf of the entire team at LCvista, I’m thrilled to announce the successful completion of our SOC 2 Type 1 Certification. Our investment in our platform’s architecture and security is integral to our ability to scale and achieving SOC 2 compliance was an important step on this path.
An independent audit completed by Connor Consulting, with the help of Strike Graph, confirmed LCvista’s controls related to our information security practices, policies, procedures and operations met the rigorous SOC 2 requirements.
What is SOC 2?
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC stands for Service Organization Controls. SOC 2 is a reporting framework applicable to technology companies like LCvista that store customer data in the cloud. The guidelines for SOC 2 compliance were developed to ensure that systems are in place for five Trust Services Categories: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
A SOC 2 audit is performed and verified by a registered public accounting firm, who examines the internal controls and processes an organization has in place involved in storing, handling, and transmitting data securely. The SOC 2 audit report can provide proof of compliance that an organization has the processes in place to manage sensitive data and protect the privacy of its clients.
