By January 8, 2021January 28th, 2022News

With 2020 officially in the rearview mirror, the LCvista team would like to take the opportunity to thank our clients, partners, and colleagues for a year that truly represented progress in the face of extraordinary times.

Some highlights from 2020 include:

A New Look for LCvista

In October, we launched our new brand identity, logo, and website. Our new brand reflects our recommitment to our company’s core values while also looking forward to a new era of growth and innovation. And our new website more strongly reflects our unique value offering.

Enhancements Across Compliance and Learning Management

The LCvista engineering team deployed 87 releases in 2020, with over 150 tickets addressed. Some key features and improvements we introduced include:

  • an entirely new user interface
  • a Firm Compliance dashboard
  • integrations with Zoom, Pods, and GoToWebinar for webcast tracking
  • the ability to report on Conferences i/o polling questions
  • optimized requirements logic for New York licensees
  • bulk upload tools for External Credit, Programs, Managed Users, and People
  • enhancements to Compliance, Jurisdiction, Programs, Session, Learning Plan, and People reports
  • enhancements across Learning Plan, Evaluation, and Jurisdiction Deadline notifications
  • the ability to increase or decrease individual requirements per reporting period
  • and the ability to add extensions to requirement periods

Despite ongoing jurisdiction updates and changes due to COVID-19, the team implemented over 100 compliance-specific updates, including extensions to 21 jurisdictions. We also added 57 new jurisdictions to the platform for tracking.

Better Security, Performance, and Scalability

In 2020, we continued to invest in our technology infrastructure to ensure we are best serving our customers. In addition to our weekly automated vulnerability scans, we initiated and completed our annual external penetration test which received a Low Risk Rating score.

We continue to focus on automation.  In 2020, we created over 550 new automated test cases. We currently run over 1200 automated tests on each code check in to ensure we are delivering the highest quality code possible. These tests are in addition to our hands-on QA process that validates each core feature prior to release.

Other areas of improvement in 2020 include a framework for automating the import of data files via an FTP file feed, performance improvements in our continuous integration build pipeline, further automation around deployments and improved alerting and monitoring infrastructure.

Soaring Adoption Across Clients

As we welcomed a number of new clients, the family of LCvista firms grew by 55%. In fact, we saw a 100% increase of unique user logins compared to 2019.

Admins and professionals were hard at work. We tracked 2.1 million emails sent from LCvista, 372,000 launches of SCORM/AICC programs, 229,000 webcasts launched, 3.5 million certificates issued, and 1.7 million session records passed!

The LCvista Team Expanded

This year we added four new members to our team across Engineering, QA, Product, Compliance Research, and Operations. We also welcomed some future LCvista associates – babies Brody and Molly!

We are extremely grateful for all you have helped us achieve in 2020 and look forward to what 2021 has in store.
